The Chairman of a consumer healthcare contract manufacturer engaged us to deliver a procurement savings program as he felt that this was an area that needed to be accelerated within the business and wasn’t being pursued as rigorously as he thought was required
Approach
A spend cube was developed to understand where the business was spending its money and with how many suppliers. From there a multi-category sourcing plan was to was developed to identify the targeted savings and prioritise a category plan as well as sourcing strategies for each key category
Outcome
Across 6 major spend categories, both direct and indirect, we delivered >20% savings and increased the businesses EBIT by more than 33%
