Our client, a specialty retailer, had recently found themselves in a situation where their sole transport provider had gone into liquidation and needed to act fast to ensure product was continuing to be delivered to store as well as find another transport provider they could partner with for the medium term
Approach
Using our market knowledge and industry expertise, we reached out to certain providers who could assist immediately to help move volume whilst in parallel ran a structured and rigorous market exercise to identify the most suitable and cost-effective operators
Outcome
As a result of the process we ran, our client awarded their national freight volume to 2 new vendors and reduced their cost base by more than 5% in an environment where freight costs had increased by more than 13% YoY
